Dropp SL ("Dropp SL", "we", "us", "our") operates the website droppsl.com and provides last-mile LPG cylinder delivery services in Freetown, Sierra Leone. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the rights you have over it.

By ordering from us on WhatsApp, by telephone, or through our website, you agree to the practices described here.

We are the entity that decides why and how your personal information is processed.

2. Information we collect

We only collect what we need to deliver gas to your door and to keep a record of the sale.

Information you give us directly

• Your name
• Your mobile phone number (including your WhatsApp number)
• Your delivery address or shared GPS location
• Your order details — cylinder size, refill or new purchase, quantity, delivery instructions
• Your mobile money payment reference or confirmation (Orange Money, Afrimoney)
• Any messages, photos, or voice notes you send us on WhatsApp

Information we receive from Meta

When you contact us through WhatsApp, Facebook, or Instagram, Meta Platforms provides us with limited information so that we can reply to you. This may include your WhatsApp phone number, your public profile name, your profile picture, and the content of the messages you send us. We receive this only because you chose to start a conversation with us.

Information collected automatically

• Basic website analytics when you visit droppsl.com, such as pages viewed, approximate location, browser type, and device type
• Cookies and similar technologies, as described in Section 9

Information we do not collect

We never ask for and never store your mobile money PIN, your bank details, your card numbers, or any government identification number. No Dropp SL rider or staff member will ever ask you for a PIN or password. If someone does, it is not us — please report it to info@droppsl.com immediately.

3. Why we use your information

We do not use your information for automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects on you.

4. Our legal basis for processing

We process your personal information on the following bases:

• Performance of a contract — we cannot deliver a cylinder to you without your name, number, and address.
• Legitimate interests — running a safe, secure delivery service, preventing fraud, and improving our coverage.
• Consent — for marketing messages and for non-essential cookies. You may withdraw consent at any time.
• Legal obligation — where Sierra Leonean law requires us to keep business or tax records.

5. Who we share your information with

We do not sell your personal information. We never trade, rent, or licence it to advertisers or data brokers.

We share it only with the following categories of recipients, and only to the extent needed:

Our delivery riders — receive your name, phone number, and delivery location so they can complete your delivery. Nothing more.

Meta Platforms, Inc. — as the operator of WhatsApp, Facebook, and Instagram, Meta processes the messages exchanged between you and us. Meta's own handling of your data is governed by its privacy policy at https://www.whatsapp.com/legal/privacy-policy

Mobile money providers — Orange Money and Afrimoney process your payment. We receive only a confirmation and reference; we do not see your account credentials.

Our LPG supply partner — receives aggregated order volumes. Individual customer details are shared only where necessary to fulfil a specific business supply contract.

Service providers and data processors — the following companies process data on our behalf under contract and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes:

• Google LLC — hosting for droppsl.com (Firebase Hosting), business email, and document storage
• Meta Platforms, Inc. — delivery of WhatsApp messages, via the WhatsApp Business Platform. We connect to it directly and use no third-party messaging intermediary.
• Amazon Web Services, Inc. — the server that runs our ordering system and holds our order database

We do not use website analytics, advertising trackers, or any third-party profiling tool on droppsl.com.

Public authorities — we disclose personal information to government or law enforcement bodies only where we are legally required to do so. We review every such request for legal validity, challenge requests we believe to be unlawful, disclose only the minimum information necessary, and keep a written record of each request and our response.

6. International transfers

Your information is stored outside Sierra Leone. Our ordering system and its database run on servers in Singapore, our website and business email are hosted by Google, and WhatsApp messages are processed by Meta on its own international infrastructure. Written correspondence reaches us at an address in Australia.

We take reasonable steps to ensure your information remains protected to a standard consistent with this policy wherever it is held, including through contractual commitments with those providers. If you would prefer your data not to leave Sierra Leone, we cannot currently offer that — the practical alternative is to order by telephone and ask us not to retain your details beyond the sale.

7. How long we keep your information

• Order and delivery records: 7 years, to meet tax and business record-keeping requirements
• WhatsApp conversation history: 24 months after your last order
• Marketing contact details: until you ask us to stop

When a retention period ends, we delete the information or irreversibly anonymise it.

8. How we protect your information

We limit access to customer data to staff who need it to do their job. Riders see only the delivery details for their assigned orders. Accounts that hold customer data are protected by passwords and, where available, two-factor authentication. Devices used for business are secured with a screen lock.

No system is perfectly secure, but if a breach occurs that is likely to put you at risk, we will notify affected customers without undue delay.

9. Cookies

droppsl.com uses cookies to make the site work and to understand how visitors use it. Essential cookies are necessary for the site to function. Analytics cookies are only set with your consent. You can clear or block cookies through your browser settings; blocking essential cookies may stop parts of the site from working.

10. Your rights

You may ask us to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Correct anything inaccurate — a wrong address or phone number, for example
• Delete your personal information (see our Data Deletion Instructions)
• Restrict or object to how we use it
• Withdraw consent for marketing at any time
• Receive a copy of the information you gave us, in a portable format

To exercise any of these rights, email info@droppsl.com or message us on WhatsApp at +232 30 185025. We will respond within 30 days. We may ask you to confirm the phone number you used to place orders, so that we do not disclose one customer's data to another person.

There is no charge for these requests.

11. Children

Our service is intended for adults. LPG is a hazardous product and we do not knowingly sell to, or collect personal information from, anyone under 18. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always published at droppsl.com/privacy-policy with the date of the last update at the top. Significant changes will be announced on our website and, where appropriate, by WhatsApp.
